serve & schmooze is a Jewish social pickleball meetup designed to be welcoming, fun, and community-focused. It’s equal parts light competition, learning, and schmoozing—no prior pickleball experience required.
serve & schmooze is open to anyone who considers themselves a young professional.
Not at all.
Serve & Schmooze is open to all levels, including complete beginners. We’ll walk new players through:
- Basic rules
- Scoring
- Court positioning
- Game flow and etiquette
If you’re new, you’re very much in the right place.
Great—you’re welcome too.
We mix levels thoughtfully so games stay fun and inclusive, and more experienced players help keep things flowing and friendly.
Nope. If you have your own paddle, please bring it, but if you don't we provide all equipment, including:
- Paddles
- Balls
- Court setup
Just bring yourself, athletic shoes, and a good attitude.
serve & schmooze is a new initiative and we're still developing our timetable. We started in the summer of 2025 outdoors. Our first indoor games took place in January 2026, and we are working on timing and format to maximize attendance and have the most fun.
Winter sessions are limited to 12 people.
This cap exists so everyone:
- Gets meaningful court time
- Isn’t overwhelmed
- Has space to learn and socialize
Spots are limited and tend to fill quickly.
At any given time:
- 4 people are playing
- 2 people are resting per court
Players rotate regularly so everyone gets:
- Balanced play time
- Natural breaks
- A chance to schmooze between games
You won’t be standing around for long stretches.
It’s social-first, not hyper-competitive.
Games are played seriously enough to be fun, but the emphasis is on:
- Inclusivity
- Learning
- Good vibes
- Community connection
If you’re looking for cutthroat league play, this probably isn’t it. If you’re looking for a welcoming, energetic environment—you’re in the right place.
serve & schmooze is a Jewish social, rooted in community and connection. Allies and friends are welcome as long as they respect the spirit and purpose of the group.
Sessions require advance registration due to limited space and registration is via the Conquer app. Details and links are provided in the sessions section.
If you are using the app for the first time, you will need to register in the Conquer app, and then click the session link again to register for the session. Alternatively, you can find the session by looking for serve & schmooze in the app.
